Privacy Policy

Draft — not yet finalized

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — provided through single sign-on at auth.lonx.net when you register or log in (such as your name and email address).
  • QR code content — the destinations and content you attach to your QR codes (URLs, PDFs, link-list entries, contact/vCard details, WiFi credentials, and similar), plus design settings like colors, logos, and frames.
  • Scan analytics — each time someone scans one of your dynamic QR codes, we record the IP address, approximate location (country, region, and city derived from the IP), device type (mobile, tablet, desktop), operating system, browser, referrer, and timestamp, in order to power your scan statistics.

2. How we use your information

We use the information above to operate and provide the Service: to authenticate you, to generate and serve your QR codes and their linked content, to compute and display scan analytics, to bill paid subscriptions, to provide customer support, and to maintain the security and integrity of the Service.

3. Data sharing

auth.lonx.net acts as our identity provider and shares basic account information with us when you sign in. We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting and infrastructure providers), or when required by law.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to make single sign-on work across LONX subdomains, including a session cookie and marker cookies such as lonx_qr_authed (confirms a completed SSO login on this site) and the shared lonx_token cookie set by auth.lonx.net on the .lonx.net domain. These cookies are necessary for the Service to function and are not used for third-party advertising.

5. Data retention

We retain account and QR code data for as long as your account is active, and scan analytics for as long as needed to provide historical statistics within the Service. When you delete a QR code or your account, associated data is removed or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

6. Your rights

You can access and update most of your account and QR code information directly within the Service. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us, subject to any applicable legal retention requirements.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date on this page or through an in-Service notice.

10. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy can be sent to our support team through the contact details published on the Lonx QR website.
